If there is no Medal of Honor then there will never be a Call of Duty. Yep, that is the fact that underlies me to lift the Medal of Honor into the nostalgic review rubric this time, even though the fate of EA's FPS game franchise is now abandoned after following the "modern war" Call of Duty trend and failing to meet its 2012 sales expectations.
A bit of a flashback to 1999, the emergence of Medal of Honor originally started from the Dreamworks Interactive experiment to implement the success of GoldenEye 007 as the first pure FPS console game that was not ported from PC games of its time. For this reason, Dreamworks asked the famous Hollywood director Steven Spielberg to write a Medal of Honor story with the theme of World War 2 which he carried in order to give the cinematic impression which has become a mandatory element for shooter games in the modern era.
